Subject: Donation project in Haiti

Hi Estine. First of all I want to say that it is a great pleasure to be formally introduced to you by Meri. She has spoken very well of you and from what I have seen of your involvement and actions in this project that we have started I am very impressed and also emotionally touched. So thank you once again for your efforts and contributions and also for the pictures and the financial statements.

Secondly I would like to introduce myself a bit better. My name is Babak Rasolzadeh, I am 29 and I am an engineer and a scientist in Stockholm, Sweden. I volunteered for IMC shortly after the earthquake because I felt inside myself that I really needed to do something good! That I needed to do whatever I could to help the suffering people of Haiti. After hearing about my plans to go to Haiti, a couple of very dear friends of mine in Sweden (Andrzej and Marianna) gathered some money from themselves and their relatives and friends in Poland for me to spend on whatever I thought best and most useful on Haiti. Unfortunately the project with the orphanage (that I am sure Meri has told you about) was started just a couple of days before I was leaving Haiti and could thus not be finished. The aim was to spend a total of $1000 for an orphanage in Port-au-Prince (near the IMC warehouse close to the airport, Patrick Handal knows where) to buy beds for the children.

Now with your help a similar thing has been realized and I am very happy about that; so are my friends and we are very grateful to you.

So now the question is if you are willing to collaborate with us because we would like to continue this and perhaps each month give a small donation (that I will transfer to you) that you can spend on a needing family/an orphanage and send us pictures and financial statements for everything? Let's say a sum of $200 every month to start with?

In fact we have started an effort to do this thing on a MUCH MUCH larger scale! You can read about it on www.p2p-aid.org

thank you for everything

looking forward to further collaborations with you

Cordialement

Babak

Hello everyone, this is all we need to achieve our orphanage project, a name, a constitution, an official report, a letter of authorization. As you know, we can not operate without being authorized by the State. Otherwise we can put ourselves in the category of people who traffic children. Therefore, make sure everything you send, if you have something to suggest, we will be happy.

Dear Estine,

we'll have a meeting between all of us today and will try to answer all the questions you posed. Basically we just want to donate (as private persons) an amount of money so that you can buy beds for the orphanage (because as I remember they sleep on the ground).

Best regards
Babak
